Technical Activities

The technical activities of the SGA pursue the following objectives:

1. Advancement of academic writing and research in the field of acoustics and vibration technology.
2. Supporting the exchange of professional experience and expertise.
3. Keeping its members updated on national and international developments through publications, reports, etc.
4. Ensuring and maintaining relations to other scientific and professional associations in Switzerland and abroad.
5. Hosting professional conventions and seminars.
6. Providing equipment to heighten and preserve the quality of the work of our members.
7. Commenting on issues of acoustics and noise control.
8. Awarding prizes to honour outstanding accomplishments in the field of acoustics.
9. Awarding the diploma „Acoustician SGA" to those who mastered the examination.
10. Further the cohesion amongst acousticians across language borders.
